About Me

Hello!         

So here are just a few things that I want people to know before they read my blog. I put it in an outline because I want to deliver my message clearly without any speculation of what I am trying to say. And I also love outlines. I guess it is the very small organizational instinct I have in me. The reason why I say it's small is because... well... you should see my room… anyway here it is     About Me

 General

a)     I do not wish to give away my name just yet.

b)     I am a teenager.

c)     I am a female.

Beliefs 

a)     I am a Christian.

b)     I try to withhold judgment.

c)     I am not perfect.

d)     I do not always follow my own opinions (not out of disagreement but because of difficulty) 

e)     I am trying my best to be a good (incredibly vague and subjective word) person.

f)      I am human and make mistakes. 

g)     I am open to opposition to my views.

h)    I do not speak for the entire Christian population.

i)       I am a realistic optimist.

i)       I am aware of the unfortunate conditions of the world, but it doesn't stop me from hoping and believing that they can change. 

     

Goals 

a)     I don't want this blog to be restrictive to the Christian faith.

i)       I am a Christian, and I am proud of it, but I want people of other beliefs to view my blog. The desire for all people to view my blog is ABSOLUTELY not because I want to convert anyone by any means. I respect others’ beliefs and am not trying to change them. Why is it that I want my blog to be for everyone?

(1)  I think it would be beneficial to anyone to gain insight on another person’s perspective.

(2)  I think that a lot my opinions are not specifically Christian ideals. Yes, I do elaborate on Christian teachings, but I think some virtues can be valued by any one. 

(3)  I simply want my opinion heard. 

b)     I hope to motivate people to form a closer relationship with God.

i)       I think the most important thing in life is to have a relationship with God. Even though I have achieved my relationship with God through Jesus, I accept the fact that people have different opinions than me. Even if their opinion is that they don't have faith in God, my blog is in no way trying to attack that specific belief or any other position.  

c)     I hope you will find what I have to say valuable. That doesn't mean agreeing with everything I say, but taking what I have to say and forming ideas of your own.

d)     I want other Christians to see the opinions of a fellow follower of Christ.

i)       I am Presbyterian just in case anyone wanted to know

 Purpose

a)     Simple- Explain who I am as a follower of Jesus Christ. 

  

Other

a)     Anyone is more than welcome to contact me at thepurplebranch@gmail.com with your opinions, ideas, advice, questions and so on and so forth. 

b)     I use verses from the Good News Translation Bible. 

c)     I will most likely only use passages from the four gospels in my blog posts. (Chapters on Jesus’s life).
